Queen Tarzi started in 2016, when there was demand for beauty that isn't tested on animals. The result is a brand that is vegan, stays affordable and is named after a woman who, a hundred years ago, did exactly what we mean by empowerment today.
Who was Queen Soraya Tarzi?
The queen
behind the crown
The name Queen Tarzi is no coincidence. The brand is named after Soraya Tarzi, queen of Afghanistan at the start of the last century. Alongside King Amanullah she reigned over the country for three years.
In a society and a time in which women had few rights, she stood up fearlessly for women's rights and for education for girls. Afghanistan has not known a queen as strong, as gifted or as progressive since.
That is where the name comes from. And the little crown on every product.
Our founder
Manizha Nabizada
As a child, Manizha had to flee Afghanistan because of the war and found a new home in the Netherlands. Her passion for beauty and her drive as an entrepreneur led to a powerful beauty brand. It all started with vegan and cruelty free lashes, at a time when that was far from the norm.
Strength lies in every small victory, in every step you take with courage, and in the belief that your voice makes a difference, however softly it sounds.
